Phoenix Window Technologies offers the Bi-Glass System, a unique patented process that renovates existing historic wood window sash by replacing the original single pane glass with dual-pane Low E insulated glass, adding weather-stripping and installing insulation inside the weight pockets.

How do we do it?
We work on-site; our mobile workshop comes to you. Our trained technicians remove your windows, perform the patented process, then replace them the same day. We can usually complete an average of three windows per day.

Plus, the mess goes with us when we leave each day. We respect each property and owner, so keeping things clean is a top priority for our crews.

Our patented Bi-Glass System works with casement windows, double-hung windows, awning and picture windows, too. Odd shapes and sizes, such as round-top windows, are no problem either. Even multi-paned windows can become energy-efficient with the Bi-Glass System. Are your sashes in bad shape? No problem. We can fix broken or rotted wood in your sash. Your old, single pane windows will have a new life after the Bi-Glass process.

How does it work?
First, we measure your windows for new insulated glass units.

Next, the old sash is taken out, and open cavities in the window frame are insulated to stop the flow of air through the sash.

"Hidden" balances are installed to replace the rope & pulley system, making the window easy to operate.

The wood sash is then routed and the new insulated double-pane glass installed. The new glass will keep heat in during the winter and the hot sun out during the summer.

Next, weather stripping is added to secure leaks around the perimeter of the window.

Finally, the completed, weather-tight sash is re-installed and the functionality restored.
